Head Barista

As the Head Barista, you will oversee daily operations, uphold beverage quality and consistency, and help shape a creative, thoughtful beverage program. You will be hands‑on with daily service while also setting the tone for team culture, training, and professional standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead daily coffee bar operations with a focus on consistency, speed, and quality
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for espresso, milk, filter brewing, and matcha drinks
  • Create and launch seasonal coffee and other beverages
  • Train, mentor, and motivate baristas to achieve high product and service standards
  • Ensure smooth workflow during high-volume service periods
  • Manage equipment calibration and handle minor maintenance
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier communication
  • Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards across the bar
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of barista experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong skills in espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and matcha-based beverages
  • Solid leadership presence with the ability to guide, correct, and encourage team performance
  • Experience in beverage development and SOP creation
  • Calm and effective communicator, especially during busy service
  • A team player with a proactive and professional attitude
  • Able to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible
