Key Responsibilities
Operations & Daily Management
- Oversee day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
- Monitor customer flow, table turnover, and service speed during peak hours.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, train, and supervise all staff including servers, bartenders, and kitchen crew (if applicable).
- Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower for peak periods.
- Conduct briefings, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Handle staff discipline, conflicts, and operational issues professionally.
Customer Service & Experience
- Maintain high service standards and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Establish a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to build regular customer loyalty.
- Monitor service quality and provide guidance to improve overall guest experience.
Stock, Inventory & Supplier Management
- Manage alcohol inventory: beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and supplies.
- Track stock levels and place orders with suppliers.
- Prevent overstocking and wastage with proper rotation (FIFO).
- Ensure accurate stock-taking and update management reports.
Cash, Sales & Reporting
- Oversee cash handling and daily sales reconciliation.
- Monitor sales performance, promotions, and profit margins.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operation reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Compliance & Licensing
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol regulations, safety rules, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain proper records and ensure staff follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities.
3. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B or pub/bar management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and customer management abilities.
- Knowledge of alcohol service, stock control, and basic accounting.
- Able to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Hands‑on, proactive, and able to handle fast‑paced environments.
