Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to design and operate scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, and backend development (Java, Python, TypeScript). Responsibilities include developing backend services, operating Kubernetes clusters, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. This position requires expertise in cloud best practices and a strong understanding of security principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, Kubernetes, backend development.

Job Overview

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps automation, and backend development (Java, Python, TypeScript). You will design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems.

You will work closely with software, security, and operations teams to deliver resilient, cost-efficient, and well-architected cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices
• Architect and develop backend services and APIs (Java / Python / TypeScript)
• Operate and secure production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters
• Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CDK
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows
• Optimize performance, cost, security, and reliability of cloud platforms
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years experience across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, Kubernetes, and backend development
• Strong AWS experience (EKS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, networking, IAM)
• Backend development with at least 2 of Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI/Flask), TypeScript (Node.js/NestJS)
• Production Kubernetes experience (scaling, security, upgrades)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CDK) CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions)
• Strong understanding of security, networking, and cloud best practices

Nice to Have

• AWS or Kubernetes certifications
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and message queues
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments
• Open-source contributions or production project portfolio
