Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Fragrance Laboratory Assistant & QA/QC Executive to join our team. This dual-role position supports both fragrance compounding and quality control functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fragrance samples, performing quality checks on raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining proper documentation and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

Fragrance Laboratory Support

• Compound fragrance samples accurately based on internal formulation references.
• Organize and maintain fragrance raw materials and lab inventory.
• Ensure the laboratory is clean, well-organized, and compliant with safety requirements.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

• Conduct QC checks on incoming raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform basic tests such as appearance, odour evaluation, refractive index and specific gravity.
• Flag and report any deviations or non-conformities.
• Manage and store QC retain samples systematically.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory and QC activities.
• Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for finished goods.
• Ensure all documentation is current, properly filed, and audit-compliant.
• Support review and maintenance of internal SOPs and product specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Perfumery & Cosmetic Science or equivalent.
• Fresh diploma holders are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a laboratory or QA/QC environment is an advantage.
• Familiar with fragrance raw materials, basic lab equipment, and QC test procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organized approach to work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable handling fragrance oils and chemicals daily.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in fragrance compounding or QC testing.
• Interest in fragrances, sensory evaluation, and product quality.
