Job summary

An international education group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to establish and manage day-to-day accounting processes. Responsibilities include budgeting, financial operations oversight, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of finance experience, ideally in a startup environment, and holds a degree in Finance or Accounting. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

Job Description
  • Establish and manage day-to-day accounting processes, including accounts payable, account receivable, payroll, and month-end closing.
  • Maintaining full sets of accounts, including the preparation of financial statements and monthly management accounts with variance analysis, withholding tax payment and monthly VAT filings.
  • Implement financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with Department Heads, forecasting, and cash flow planning to support growth initiatives.
  • Track budget performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversees all tax matters, including VAT, withholding tax (WHT), and corporate income tax, to ensures compliance with Thai accounting standards and local tax laws.
  • Oversee fee collection, billing cycles, refunds, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee vendor payments, contracts, and procurement cost control.
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business planning.
  • All other ad hoc duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, ACCA or its equivalent from accredited institutions
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in finance or accounting; previous startup or scale-up experience is highly preferred
  • String understanding of the financial operations and reporting requirements in Thailand
  • Open minded and a strong team player
  • Experience managing financial operations in growing or early-stage companies.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
