Job Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, including preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, analyzes financial performance, and collaborates with other departments to drive cost‑saving initiatives and strategic planning. Strong leadership and attention to detail are essential.

  • Operations Accounting: Assist and support the full sets of accounting including AP, AR and GL.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision‑making.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to optimize profitability and efficiency. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the bi‑annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
  • Costing & Operation: Oversee product costing, including standard cost setting and cost roll‑ups; analyze key cost drivers such as materials, labor, depreciation, yield, and overhead absorption; support continuous improvement by identifying cost‑reduction opportunities; and partner with operations to evaluate make‑or‑buy decisions and process improvements.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify variances, recommending corrective actions as needed. Prepare rolling forecasts to anticipate financial trends and support agile decision‑making.
  • Optimize banking relationships and implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure timely filing of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
  • Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure adequate funding for operations.
  • Complete and submit all GST returns and ensure compliance.
Human Resource & Administrative
  • Oversee full spectrum of HR & administrative tasks including factory management, repair & maintenance.
  • Admin PO verification & approval.
  • Verify payroll & payment arrangement, CPF/ MOM/ IRAS submission.
  • Implementation of company policies, procedures, and ensure smooth office operations.

※Above HR & Admin duties will be mainly handled by another employee but you need to manage the employee who is in charge of HR & Admin and support as assistant manager.

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years working experience in similar capacity preferably in manufacturing industry with management experience.
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with our counterparts in China.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore labour and employment laws is an advantage.
  • Proactive, organized, meticulous, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to practice high level of confidentiality.
  • Prefer if available immediately or within short notice.
  • Willing to work in Woodlands.
