Scope of Work
To provide full administrative support in providing financial infrastructure to the department and to ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), IPC Codes of Governance (Corporate Governance), the Charities Act, and Societies Act.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Update fixed assets register in SAP, verify depreciation, and prepare fixed assets monthly schedule.
- Prepare Charity Goods and Service Tax, verify Input and Output Tax, and submit Quarterly Returns.
- Handle donations received by third-party fundraisers and verify bank statements with the information provided. (weekly or monthly)
- Reconcile all information received from third-party fundraisers monthly and liaise with IT for uploading and verifying accuracy.
- Monitor monthly credit card donation deductions, including unsuccessful deductions.
- Check whether TDR receipt numbers are generated by the IT department (different series).
- Ensure accuracy and communicate with AP regarding commission claims payable to third-party fundraisers.
- Maintain proper filing of all agreements, grants, important documents, invoices, and receipts with supporting documents.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules and GST reconciliation.
- Conduct fundraising audits and certification.
- Pass journal entries for grants and funding for all homes and prepare quarterly grant receivable schedules.
- Assist with IPC renewal.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 1-year proven experience in full set accounting in the non-profit or social service sector is highly desirable.
- Experience using SAP or other accounting systems.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize and work under tight deadlines.
- Able to work in a team.
- Proactive, able to multitask with minimal supervision.
