Job Overview
The role serves as a trusted senior executive assistant to the Chairman, providing high-level financial leadership, business analysis, and strategic problem-solving across the Group’s listed and operating entities. The incumbent will act as the Chairman’s right-hand executive, able to rapidly assess business situations, evaluate opportunities, and recommend pragmatic, value-accretive solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Advisory
- Act as a principal advisor to the Chairman on financial, operational, and strategic matters.
- Provide independent, objective analysis on business performance, investments, acquisitions, divestments, and restructuring initiatives.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.

Financial Oversight & Analysis
- Review and analyse group financial statements, management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow positions.
- Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across existing businesses.
- Support capital allocation decisions, including funding structures, ROI analysis, and balance sheet optimisation.
- Work closely with Group CFOs, finance teams, auditors, and advisors where required.

Business Performance & Problem Solving
- Rapidly diagnose issues arising in operating businesses (financial, operational, governance, or strategic).
- Develop and recommend practical solutions, turnaround strategies, or corrective action plans.
- Monitor execution of agreed actions and follow through on outcomes.

Business Opportunities & Investments
- Evaluate new business opportunities, joint ventures, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct high-level commercial, financial, and risk assessments on potential investments.
- Support negotiations and structuring of transactions, working alongside external advisors as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- CFO-level experience or capability, with strong grounding in accounting, finance, and financial management.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Proven ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on.
- Strong commercial acumen and business judgment.
- Senior finance or general management experience in listed companies, large groups, investment firms, or professional services.
- Track record in business analysis, restructuring, investment evaluation, or complex problem-solving.
- Experience working closely with Boards, Chairmen, or founders is highly advantageous.
