Job description
What the role is:

We are looking for a driven communications professional to join our media relations team. The team is part of URA’s Strategic Communications and Outreach Group, which is responsible for raising awareness and appreciation for URA’s work amongst stakeholders and the public, instilling public confidence and garnering support for our plans and policies as well as inspiring stakeholders to actively participate in initiatives to shape Singapore into a liveable, inclusive and endearing home for all.

What you will be working on:

You will work closely with our Line Departments as well as digital comms and outreach teams to develop and execute integrated communications strategies to positively profile URA’s development plans, policies and initiatives. You will also play an active role in engaging and cultivating relationships with journalists and in monitoring media reports and public sentiments to pre‑empt contentious issues and shape more robust communications plans. There will also be opportunities for you to hone your experience and skills in other communications functions. This includes crisis communications and content collaborations with key opinion leaders and influencers.

What we are looking for:
  • A degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant fields, with one- to three years of communications experience specialising in media relations. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply too.
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent critical thinking and writing skills. Proficiency in a vernacular language will be advantageous.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong in critical thinking, resourceful and meticulous, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
