Job summary

A leading rental company in Singapore is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and inspecting building premises to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems. Certifications such as CERT and Work-At-Height are preferred. This role involves both routine inspections and emergency maintenance tasks, ensuring all systems, including fire alarms, are in proper working condition.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a maintenance technician.
• Preferably with CERT and Work-At-Height certification.
• Good physical condition with strong integrity.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Survey and conduct inspection of building premises regularly to determine if repair and/or maintenance is required
• Ensure premises are consistent with health and safety standards
• Identify problem areas such as electrical and plumbing issues
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems by efficiently replacing or repairing the light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, etc.
• Maintain and monitor the building essential control within the FCC such as PA system, CCTV, car parking system are in constant working order
• Inspect and ensure all fire alarm protection systems are properly set and in good working condition. Schedule repairs when needed
• Work in conjunction with housekeeping staff to ensure consistent cleanliness and maintenance of the premises
• Repair and fix the windows and doors locks when necessary and ensure replacement requirements are fulfilled
• Monitor maintenance activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (handling painting and carpentry duties etc.
• Be part of the facility's CERT team

Requirements

• Relevant experience as maintenance technician
• Knowledge of electrical, fire protection and other BAS systems
• Preferably with CERT and Work-At-Height certification
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem‑solving skills
• Good physical condition with strong integrity
• NITEC or higher NITEC; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be advantageous
