Job summary

A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Civil Engineer specialized in tunneling. Job description

Responsibilities:

• Monitor primary muck reconciliation indicators from the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and secondary indicators from the Slurry Treatment Plant (STP).
• Interpret data from TBM and STP to provide clarification as needed.
• Plan and optimize tunnelling parameters (KPIs) for project efficiency and quality.
• Supervise safety and ensure quality of works.
• Apply theory and practical knowledge of Excavation Management Systems.
• Assess and treat slurry quality for mechanized tunnelling operations.
• Implement and manage instrumentation and monitoring systems for tunnelling works.
• Analyse and present case histories from mechanized and conventional tunnelling projects.
• Utilize soil conditioning techniques specific to EPB TBMs.
• Assess environmental impact and develop mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements for tunnelling projects.
• Perform other assigned adhoc duties by project managers.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience working in Civil, foundation works.
• Familiar with tunnel excavation process by slurry technicalities
• Good understanding of data from TBM and STP
• Familiar with LTA, MRT and Tunelling projects in Singapore
