About the Role:

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ESH professional to support our ESH Section Manager in driving workplace safety excellence. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication with Vendor and Supplier: Request quotations, verify product specifications meet operational needs, coordinate service/delivery schedules, liaise with suppliers to resolve issues, and gather feedback from process owners.
  • Data Collection for ESH-related activities: Collect and analyze ESH data from process owners, interpret findings, gather stakeholder feedback, and collaborate on improvement solutions.
  • Promotion of In-house Safety Culture and Awareness: Conduct workplace inspections, deliver safety training, participate in risk assessments (HAZOP/EAI/PPE), organize safety programs, communicate incident learnings, facilitate new staff inductions, perform PSSR inspections, assist in ESH meetings, and promote improvement suggestions.
  • Compliance to Legal and Other Requirements: Arrange third‑party testing/training (hygiene monitoring, forklift certs, etc.), provide legal compliance guidance, assist in SHMS audits and legal register updates, communicate regulatory changes, and support documentation submissions.
  • Contractor Management: Review contractor submissions, conduct safety inductions, monitor on‑site work compliance, enforce PTW and 5S standards, manage contractor activities, and coordinate laydown/resting areas with stakeholders.
  • Process Safety Improvement: Analyze process flows, identify pain points, propose tech‑driven solutions, review SOPs/MOC designs with owners, and integrate LOTO/safe shutdown procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Support SIC/SMC/FSM in preparedness drills, coordinate with admin/security, liaise with authorities, verify emergency equipment, and assist in ERP revisions.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree related to Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience or
  • Fresh Graduates of Chemical Engineering are welcome
  • Knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM) subjects as major.
  • WSQ Certifications:
    Specialist in WSH (Level C)
    Manage Work at Height
    Supervise Work in Confined Spaces
    Assess Confined Spaces for Safe Entry & Work
    Implement Incident Management Processes
    Develop Risk Management Implementation Plans
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced formulas, functions, and data tools).
    Working knowledge of ISO standards and management systems.
    Strong grasp of Singapore legal EHS requirements.
    Experience with MHI implementation and assessment.
    Solid foundation in Process Safety principles.
  • Language: Bilingual proficiency (English and one other language).
  • Positive Attitude & Behaviours at workplace.
  • Pro‑active and willing to learn.
  • Good Communication skills, able to practice empathy to better understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Work as a team harmoniously as well as independently without supervision
  • Plan and schedule work in orderly manner and work with deadline
