Job description

Equity Research Analyst – Ad Tech Financial Markets

Location: Remote based in Singapore.

Please note: Only candidates currently residing in Singapore with valid work authorization are eligible for this role.

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst to join Pixalate's AFAC (Ad Fraud and Compliance) team and lead equity research initiatives at the intersection of ad tech, fraud detection, privacy compliance, and financial markets. This role will leverage Pixalate's proprietary fraud and compliance data to deliver differentiated investment research on publicly traded ad tech companies and the broader programmatic advertising ecosystem.

What you'll do:
  • Produce equity research reports analyzing publicly traded ad tech companies (SSPs, DSPs, publishers, ad verification firms, CTV platforms) using Pixalate's fraud detection, invalid traffic (IVT), and compliance data as a differentiated analytical lens
  • Develop financial models and investment theses that incorporate ad fraud risk, MFA (Made for Advertising) exposure, privacy compliance scores, and supply chain transparency metrics
  • Author sector reports on programmatic advertising market dynamics, including CTV, mobile, and web channels, with focus on how fraud and compliance trends impact company valuations and competitive positioning
  • Create proprietary indices and rankings that correlate fraud/compliance metrics with company performance, market share trends, and investment risk
  • Provide research commentary to institutional investors, hedge funds, and asset managers on earnings calls, industry developments, and emerging fraud/compliance risks
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to translate raw fraud detection data into actionable investment insights
  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of ad tech companies in relation to IVT rates, seller trust scores, unauthorized seller exposure, and privacy violations
  • Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external financial audiences through written reports, presentations, and client meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field; CFA designation a plus
  • 2-5 years of equity research experience (sell-side or buy-side), investment banking, or financial analysis with demonstrated experience analyzing technology or media companies
  • Strong financial modeling skills and expertise in company valuation methodologies (DCF, comps, precedent transactions)
  • Proficiency with financial databases (Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ) and data analysis tools (Excel, Python, SQL, or R)
  • Excellent written communication skills with proven ability to write clear, concise investment research reports
  • Understanding of or willingness to quickly learn the digital advertising ecosystem (programmatic, RTB, SSPs, DSPs, ad exchanges, CTV)
  • Knowledge of ad fraud, invalid traffic detection, or privacy compliance frameworks (COPPA, GDPR) is a strong plus
  • Ability to translate technical fraud/compliance concepts into financial risk assessments
  • Track record of building financial models that incorporate non-traditional or alternative data sources
