Job Overview:

We are seeking a Civil/Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in overseeing and contributing to the civil engineering aspects of our renewable energy and energy storage projects. This role involves collaboration with Civil & Structural (C&S) consultants, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and the seamless execution of engineering designs and construction processes. Key Responsibilities

• Liaison with Consultants:
  • Collaborate with Civil & Structural (C&S) consultants to develop structural schemes and perform engineering analyses, ensuring that designs meet project requirements and industry standards, while contributing to the timely completion of projects.
• Civil Design Work:
  • Participate in the design and development of civil engineering aspects for the renewable energy and energy storage projects, such as infrastructure, drainage, site preparation, and earthworks.
• Project Oversight:
  • Oversee the design and implementation of civil engineering elements of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, BCA regulations, and SCDF safety requirements.
• Coordination and Communication:
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, internal teams, and relevant authorities, coordinating between multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Project Meetings & Site Coordination:
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings and site visits, providing technical input and identifying solutions to engineering challenges, ensuring work is completed as planned and to a high standard of quality.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure that construction processes, site activities, and safety protocols align with local regulations and company standards, promoting a culture of safety across all stages of project development.
• Technical Documentation:
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Minimum ITE/Diploma/Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years of working experience in civil/structural design or a consultancy company within the construction or engineering sector, with preference for experience in renewable energy or related projects.
• Knowledge of Regulations:
  • Familiarity with construction processes, local regulations, BCA, SCDF, and safety requirements.
• Additional Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity (SDCP) is a plus.
• Software Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and civil engineering software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
• Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.
• Language Requirements:
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and vendors in Singapore and China.
• Travel Flexibility:
  • Willingness to travel overseas (including China and project sites in Asia) for training or project requirements.
