Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct testing and analysis on ingredients and products. The ideal candidate should have a Nitec or Diploma in Food Science or Microbiology, and be proficient with Microsoft Office. This role supports quality control initiatives and requires both independent work and effective teamwork. Candidates with no prior experience but a strong interest are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Candidates without experience but with keen interest are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior exposure to microbiological testing will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory testing and analysis on ingredients and finished products.
  • Prepare reagents and samples, ensuring accurate testing and timely reporting.
  • Record analytical data and escalate quality or safety deviations.
  • Support troubleshooting to identify and resolve non-conformance causes.
  • Carry out routine laboratory upkeep including equipment maintenance.
  • Perform sampling at warehouses and on incoming raw materials.
  • Participate in quality control & EHS initiatives.

  • Prepare reagents and samples, ensuring accurate testing and timely reporting of results.
  • Record analytical data precisely and escalate any quality or safety deviations for investigation.
  • Support troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve root causes of non-conformances.
  • Carry out routine laboratory upkeep, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and environmental monitoring.
  • Perform sampling at warehouses and on incoming raw materials when required.
  • Participate in quality control & EHS initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Nitec / Higher Nitec or Diploma in Food Science Microbiology or a related discipline
