Stripe Disputes helps our users recoup the most funds from online disputes in the most efficient way for their businesses. The org is responsible for products that provide insights into, responses to, and outcomes of, online payment disputes, as well as building the infrastructure (with issuers, financial partners and third parties) to support these products.
The Disputes Foundations team exists to build a robust, extensible, and maintainable dispute platform for disputes product and integration teams, so that we can run our core dispute business and enable continuous delivery of impactful products with delightful experience.
The team is looking for an engineering leader that is able to be both technically involved as well as engaged in developing the strategy for the organization and the people.
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Disputes Foundations team in Singapore. This role involves managing a team of talented engineers, driving technical strategy, partnering with product management to build and deliver Dispute products, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that support Stripe's dispute management capabilities.

Office‑assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in‑office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in‑office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in‑person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.
