Position Title: Early Years Teacher (EY2 & EY3)

Location: Knightbridge House International School, Bukit Merah Campus, Singapore

Reporting To: Principal / Centre Leader

Position Type: Full-Time - Contract

Role Purpose

The Early Years Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early childhood education aligned with the Cambridge Early Years Framework (EY2 & EY3), ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The teacher will support the holistic development of young learners, foster positive relationships with families, and uphold all ECDA, MOE, and school standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned to EY2 & EY3 curriculum
  • Design age-appropriate learning activities that support children’s holistic development (cognitive, social-emotional, physical, language & creative)
  • Create and maintain a purposeful learning environment, including learning corners & teaching resources
  • Facilitate inquiry-based, hands-on, and play-based learning experiences
  • Track children's progress and conduct developmental observations and assessments
  • Provide constructive and regular feedback to parents on student progress
Child Development & Safety
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Follow school and ECDA safety, hygiene, and child safeguarding procedures
  • Encourage positive behaviour management strategies aligned with school ethos
Communication & Family Engagement
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with families regarding school updates and student matters
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and community engagements
Administrative & Professional Duties
  • Ensure timely completion of attendance, lesson plans, student portfolios, and reports
  • Participate in training, professional development, and curriculum planning
  • Support school operations, duties, and scheduled events as required
  • Work closely with co-teachers and support staff to maintain classroom excellence
Qualifications & Requirements
  • ECDA-recognized L2 Early Childhood Qualification (Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education / Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching / equivalent)
  • Preferably certified in First Aid & Infant/Child CPR
  • Experience teaching early years (EY2/EY3 or similar preschool age group) preferred
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development & pedagogy
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate, patient, caring, and committed to children's holistic development
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced school environment
