Job summary

A construction services company in Singapore is seeking a Drafting Technician with at least 3 years of experience in Civil & Structural drawings for infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCad and experienced with Microstation, capable of working under pressure and managing tight schedules. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in Civil & Structural drawing for infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge in AutoCad software is a must.

Job Description

• Responsible for all drafting and preparation of drawing
• Prepare design /proposal drawings to specifications set by requirements
• Ensure that all drawings are done in accordance with company's quality procedure
• Ensure that drawings are being checked to the highest quality standard to meet customer's expectation
• Produce all required drawings and details for submission to authorities, Client and Consultants from design intent and information, specifications and in accordance with good industry practice.
• Assist, prepare and update construction /shop drawings and combined services drawings for consultants’ submission and approval
• Check and verify drawings for conformity and accuracy to identify and prevent potential conflict among all disciplines.
• Incorporate data from topographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare drawings
• Ensure drawings are numbered in sequence with all revisions
• Ensure drawings are being controlled and transmitted
• Liaise with vendors and clients to ensure specifications are met
• Interpret Architectural and Structural drawings and prepare RFI's where needed
• Site-coordination, project drawings and general arrangement drawing
• Backup copies of engineering drawings into server
• Schedule and monitoring program activity to achieve on-time result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items
• Work out on material take-offs from all engineering drawing
• Liaise with customers and vendors and management of material
• Assist in preparation or modification of reports and specifications
• To create construction layout/detail under direction from Design Manager/Design Engineer
• Prepare and revise engineering drawings, shop drawings, details, sections, charts and similar documents as directed
• Timely completion of construction layout /detail
• Ensure the proper indexing, filing and storage of drawings in both hard-copy and electronic media
• To keep and update drawing revisions and drawing register
• Preparation of submission drawings complying with various authorities’ guidelines

Requirements

• Knowledge in BIM and Bentley Aecosim would be an advantage.
