Job description

We are looking for a passionate and professional Director to join our Transformation Program Office team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Chief Business Technology Officer, the incumbent leads the organization's AI and digitalisation transformation agenda, including innovation project management, data platform stewardship, and top‑down strategic initiatives that drive competitive advantage and operational excellence.

This role drives change management for large‑scale transformations and will collaborate with all BT teams, Business leadership, Gambling Regulatory Authority, Gaming Regulators, Insight & Analytics division, IT PMO & Governance, Enterprise & Solution Architecture to achieve its role objectives.

What You’ll Do
  • You will define AI strategy and roadmap for Singapore Pools, manage an AI program office that evaluates, pilots, and scales AI use cases; prioritize initiatives based on business impact and feasibility, and work with Insight & Analytics division on analytics and AI capabilities.
  • You will establish responsible AI frameworks and governance, ensure AI initiatives meet ethical standards, bias mitigation, transparency, and compliance, work with Information Security and Compliance on AI risk management, and ensure WLA Level 4 compliance for AI applications in gaming.
  • You will work with Enterprise Architecture on data architecture strategy, support data platform roadmap execution, manage data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics capabilities, ensure data quality and accessibility for analytics and AI, and coordinate with Insight & Analytics division and Enterprise Architecture.
  • You will establish processes for identifying, evaluating, and managing innovation projects (POCs, pilots), facilitate cross‑functional innovation teams, and manage innovation budgets and timelines.
  • You will lead top‑down, transformational initiatives (e.g., responsible gaming AI, anti‑money laundering detection, player experience analytics) and coordinate across Business Technology, Business, and other departments.
  • You will drive organizational change management for large transformative projects and initiatives, manage stakeholder communications and adoption, coordinate with IT PMO for change governance, and track change adoption metrics.
  • You will scout emerging technologies (AI/ML platforms, advanced analytics, automation), assess fit for Singapore Pools and share insights with Enterprise Architecture.
  • You will define transformation KPIs, track progress against objectives and quantify business impact of completed initiatives.
  • You will work closely with CBTO to understand the strategic direction that the organisation is moving towards and co‑define the role of TPO and BT functions to support and complement the business.
  • You will work closely with Section Heads to ensure the quality of business partnering efforts, and that the IT requirements and demands of Business are properly and sufficiently understood and actioned upon.
  • You will work closely with Section Heads to engage in conversations with Business around latest technological trends and disruptions and in turn drive the receptivity and adoption of innovation to drive the business forward.
  • You will oversee department budget and resource allocation and ensure operations are performed within budget.
  • You will provide thought leadership on the latest IT trends and disruption, and work closely with key stakeholders to shape and define IT strategy as part of the enterprise’s overall strategic vision and ambition.
  • You will work closely with the BT Leadership Team as well as other colleagues across the divisions to champion ideas, solicit feedback and continuously re‑aligning our transformation agenda and delivering results that deliver value to the journey.
  • You will be responsible for chairing the Technology Innovation Committee (TIC) which serve as the authority to define business and technical feasibility of any technology focused new idea or innovation, e.g. AI, Insights, Automation, etc.
  • You will be responsible for TIC's review and approval of digital strategies and proposals regarding recent technology discovery, innovations, and recommendations going to Capability Development Meeting (CDM).
  • You will work closely with Innovation Working Group to explore and determine the viability and feasibility of proposed digital opportunities and initiatives.
  • You will manage the overall pipeline in terms of demand and supply of new digital opportunities and initiatives submitted to the CDM.
  • You will manage a team of Section Heads across the functions of AI COE, Innovation and Process Digitalization and Insight Platform which include the support for the Strategic Steering Committee meeting.
  • You will build long‑term working relationships across departments/sections and promote cross team collaboration.
  • You will oversee the employee management process for the team (e.g. staffing decisions, coaching, development, evaluation).
  • You will manage, coach and mentor the team and to create an environment in which all personnel can develop and apply their skills to meet individual and department goals.
  • You will set performance targets, evaluate delivery against targets, and counsel staff in career / performance / individual development.
  • You will enforce / ensure corporate and department standards, policies and guidelines within the team.
Who You Are
  • You have a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or related IT discipline.
  • You have minimum 12‑15 years of proven experience in managing a team mandated with driving technological and innovation efforts.
  • You have at least 6‑8 years of experience in an enterprise of a size comparable to Singapore Pools.
  • You have proven experience in leading a business partnering IT team and increasing the overall acceptance and adoption of IT and Digital in an enterprise.
  • You have strong understanding and keen interest in the latest technological trends and disruptions impacting businesses.
  • You have demonstrated ability to bridge business strategy and priorities against the opportunities from the technology, delivering real business value.
  • You have knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fundamentals, data platform and data engineering concepts.
  • You have experience in program management and complexity management.
  • You have experience in responsible AI and ethical AI governance.
  • You have experience in change management and organizational adoption.
  • You have experience in innovation and emerging technology assessment.
  • You have regulatory knowledge (particularly responsible gaming, AML, WLA Level 4).
  • You have excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • You have strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • You have strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
