Your Role :

Warner Chappell Music in the Asia region is seeking dynamic and strategic leader for a newly created position focused on expanding our presence across Southeast Asia markets, with an initial emphasis on Southeast Asia particularly Thailand . This role, based in Thailand, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or other SEA location, will be central to driving market development, revenue strategy, and commercial growth.

As Director or Senior Manager, you will build, lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies , identify and cultivate new revenue streams and business partnerships, and play a key role in unlocking the full potential of Warner Chappell’s catalog through digital monetization, sync placements, and artist collaborations.

Here you'll get to :
Market Development & Monetization
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Asia, with a focus in emerging markets.
  • Build strategic partnerships with independent publishers, labels, streaming platforms, production companies, and advertising agencies to expand market share.
  • Lead cross-border collaborations, ensuring Warner Chappell’s catalog is positioned for sync, covers, and commercial licensing.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine business strategies and capture emerging trends.
Revenue Strategy & Business Expansion
  • Develop and implement monetization strategies for Warner Chappell’s catalog across digital platforms, brand partnerships, and commercial licensing.
  • Drive direct licensing models, securing sync, mechanical, and performance rights deals in high-growth regions.
  • Work with finance and legal teams to structure deals that align with Warner Chappell’s revenue goals.
  • Optimize royalty collection and revenue tracking, ensuring tranparency and efficiency in monetization efforts.
A&R Creative & Development
  • Identify and sign independent publishers and labels, ensuring Warner Chappell Music remains at the forefront of creative innovation emerging markets.
  • Oversee songwriting camps, co‑writing sessions, and creative intiatives to enhance regional collaboration.
  • Develop localization strategies to promote Warner Chappell Music’s catalog for sync, covers, and commercial placements.
  • Provide creative direction on publishing assets, ensuring alignment with global music trends.
Strategic Leadership & Industry Engagement
  • Represent Warner Chappell Music in industry conferences, networking events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with local, regional and global teams to align market development and A&R strategies with Warner Chappell Music and WMG’s global vision.
About you :
  • 8+ years of experience in music publishing, publishing A&R, business development, and / or revenue and growth strategy.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of monetizing publishing assets and securing high-value deals.
  • Deep understanding of copyright laws, licensing agreements, and industry regulations.
  • Experience working with songwriters, labels, artists, producers, and music supervisors.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
  • Fluent in English and Thai preferred (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, or Malay).
  • Candidates with less experience may also be considered for the Senior Manager level.
