Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced M&E Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, oversight, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems for Land Transport Authority (LTA) MRT projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate will ensure system integration with civil structures and maintain strict compliance with project and LTA regulatory standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Design and Documentation
  • Review, develop, and finalize M&E design plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure all designs rigorously comply with project, LTA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive technical documentation, including material submissions, method statements, and shop drawings.
2. Project Management and Coordination
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to‑on installation of M&E systems on‑site.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with project owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and various internal teams (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Project Management).
  • Conduct regular site inspections, comprehensive testing, and final commissioning of M&E systems.
3. Technical Problem‑Solving
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues that arise throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Lead technical meetings with subcontractors and consultants to proactively address design and implementation challenges.
  • Added Value: Experience in managing technical teams for Low Tension (LT), Medium Tension (MT), and High Tension (HT) cable works and termination.
4. Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure all work processes and final installations strictly adhere to LTA standards and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on work progress, quality assurance, and adherence to budget.
  • Prepare and submit project progress reports and all required technical documentation.
  • You are willing to travel to site and workplace often to meet project stakeholders during design stage and throughout the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • 4 to 5 years of proven experience in M&E design and project management.
  • Strong foundational understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and produce high‑quality technical drawings and documentation.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Significant advantage for candidates with experience in MRT or large‑scale infrastructure industry projects.
  • Essential familiarity with LTA standards and Singaporean building and safety codes.
  • Added Value: Hands‑on experience with BIM/CAD on M&E projects, adhering to Singapore standards.
