Job summary

A dental practice in Singapore is seeking a Dental Surgery Assistant to support dental examinations and procedures. Job description

The Dental Surgery Assistant prepares a working space in a dental facility for dental examinations and procedures. Job duties include the preparation of dental instruments and materials for the dentist and ensuring they are properly sterilised. He/She also handles administrative tasks, such as scheduling of appointments and filing dental records.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist dental surgeon(s) in all forms of dental treatment,
  • Attend to all patients seeking treatments and/or making enquiries at the clinic promptly and courteously,
  • Maintain and ensure cleanliness of the clinic and treatment room,
  • Maintain dental equipments and instruments in good working condition,
  • Discharge patients by dispensing medication, collecting payment and scheduling of next appointment,
  • Develop X-ray/OPG for assessment of treatment,
  • Send, receive and monitor cases that are sent to the dental laboratory,
  • Ensure high standard of infection control.
Requirements
  • ‘N’/ ‘O’ Levels or equivalent with basic computer skills,
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Confident, energetic & cheerful personality,
  • Customer service oriented,
  • Able to handle Chinese speaking patients,
  • Not afraid of seeing blood,
  • Willing to learn,
  • Willing to perform rotating shift work (9am - 6pm & 2pm - 9pm) and working on Saturdays and Sundays,
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed,
  • Location: vacancies available at multiple locations,
  • Training will be provided.
