Flowdesk is building the next generation of digital asset market infrastructure, bridging the gap between centralized efficiency and innovation. We offer a full-stack trading infrastructure platform for digital asset issuers, institutional investors, and builders, enabling everything from market making to liquidity provisioning and execution services.

As an early innovator in the space, Flowdesk operates across both centralized and decentralized venues, offering reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for trading and market infrastructure. Our team is composed of engineers, researchers, and traders with deep experience in quantitative finance, DeFi, and traditional markets.

We are looking for an experienced DeFi Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and optimize DeFi trading infrastructure that interacts directly with decentralized exchanges and protocols. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of blockchain, DeFi mechanics, smart contract systems, and the performance and security considerations critical to blockchain-based trading.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain systems and smart contracts for trading, execution, and automation strategies across EVM and non-EVM chains.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting on‑chain and off‑chain trading pipelines.
• Collaborate with traders to implement and optimise DeFi trading strategies.
• Integrate DeFi protocols into internal trading and risk systems.
• Conduct on‑chain simulations, audits, and exploit analysis to ensure reliability and prevent vulnerabilities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new DeFi primitives, execution models, and blockchain infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• Background in quantitative trading systems or on‑chain market making.
• Hands‑on experience with DeFi protocol integration (AMMs, RFQs, lending, yield aggregation, or cross‑chain messaging).
• Strong proficiency in Solidity, and EVM fundamentals (storage layout, calldata encoding, gas refund logic, etc.).
• Strong programming background in Rust, TypeScript for off‑chain components and analytics.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and blockchain node infrastructure (RPCs, builders, relays, sequencers).
• Proven understanding of blockchain security issues, including reentrancy, flash‑loan attacks, and oracle manipulation.
• Familiarity with gas optimization techniques, opcode‑level reasoning, and transaction bundling.
• Experience in analyzing transaction traces, simulating state overrides, or debugging on‑chain executions is a plus.
• Comfortable with testing frameworks (e.g., Foundry fuzz tests, Echidna) and mainnet forking environments.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency with cloud‑native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, GCP/AWS) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry).
• Knowledge of MEV infrastructure, Flashbots, and private transaction relays.
• Familiarity with cross‑chain protocols, L2 sequencing, or rollup infrastructure.
