Responsibilities

• Provision databases with required licenses.
• Implement data security and recovery control.
• Monitoring health, performance, user access and security.
• Managing parameters for database optimization.
• Implement configuration management for business continuity plans and automate disaster recovery measures.
• Support systems to ensure high degree of usability that is balanced with stringent security requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
• Relevant IT experience in databases administrations such as the following (but not limited to):
• MySQL
• Postgres
• MongoDB
• Practical experience troubleshooting database and server performance problems.
• Hands on experience on database administration minimally as following:
• System DBA tasks (database management and security)
• SQL Programming
• Database performance tuning and scalability
• High Availability technologies and Disaster Recovery
• Professional certifications for database and security will be an added advantage.
• Experience in cloud technologies, such as the following (but not limited to), will be an added advantage:
