Job description

We are partnering with a leading investment bank who is seeking for a Data Science and AI Lead to join their Global Data & AI team.

You will report directly to the Regional Chief Data Officer, overseeing all AI and data science initiatives across the region.

Responsibilities

• Champion a risk and control-first approach to Data, Cloud, and AI operations, ensuring alignment with global governance policies.

• Lead the development of responsible AI, with attention to emerging risks, especially in Generative AI.

• Drive modernisation of control frameworks using AI/ML and advanced analytics.

• Build, scale, and optimize AI/ML models with a focus on accuracy, performance, and scalability.

• Set and implement best practices for model evaluation, testing, and lifecycle upgrades.

• Collaborate across disciplines data engineers, developers, SMEs to deliver integrated, end-to-end AI solutions.

• Ensure all solutions meet SDLC standards, including data integration, security, and scalability.

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, identify opportunities, and communicate risks, controls, and value.

• Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements, continuously improving tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related fields.

• 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, preferably in financial services or highly regulated environments.

• Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and deep learning techniques.

• Proven experience building and deploying end-to-end model pipelines (training, testing, deployment).

• Strong command of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools and practices.

• Skilled at working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data at scale.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate AI systems for ethics, fairness, and compliance.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with SDLC, secure coding practices, and scalable architecture design.
