Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive data governance initiatives and ensure accurate, timely regulatory reporting within the banking and financial services sector. The role is techno-functional, requiring strong knowledge of data management frameworks, regulatory reporting standards, and hands-on experience with data analysis and automation tools.

Data Governance
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and data quality standards.
  • Define data ownership, stewardship, and lineage across business and technology domains.
  • Implement and monitor data quality metrics to ensure accuracy and consistency of key data elements.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure compliance with data policies and regulatory data requirements.
  • Support data classification, metadata management, and audit processes.
Regulatory Reporting
  • Oversee end-to-end process of regulatory reporting to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Interpret and apply local and international reporting standards (e.g., MAS 610/1003, Basel III/IV, IFRS, BCBS 239).
  • Liaise with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to reconcile and validate data used in regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain data lineage documentation to trace source-to-report mapping for audit and compliance.
  • Support automation and optimization of reporting workflows using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Python.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Regulatory Reporting within banking or financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, AxiomSL, or equivalent).
  • Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data quality monitoring.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or other workflow management tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
