Job description
Role Summary

As a Credit Control Manager, you will lead and oversee HDI’s Credit Control function — a critical pillar of our Finance operations — ensuring timely premium collection, maintaining healthy debtor levels, and strengthening financial governance across our Singapore and Labuan branches. You will supervise the Credit Control team, enhance processes, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and support financial and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Oversee daily credit control activities, including debt collection, account reconciliation, and credit assessment.
  • Lead, guide, and supervise the Credit Control team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Allocate workload and review team performance to meet departmental goals.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective credit management.
2. Credit Control Operations
  • Ensure timely collection of premiums and adherence to credit terms.
  • Monitor outstanding premiums and follow up on overdue accounts in line with company policies.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts with the accounting system, ensuring accurate allocation to respective funds (SIF/OIF).
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and unallocated cash items.
  • Track and report debtor balances, PPW/PPC due dates, and accounts nearing expiry with uncollected premiums.
  • Lead monthly internal discussions on overdue balances and collection strategies.
  • Support cash flow forecasting for premium inflows and outflows.
  • Review and enhance credit control processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
3. Financial & Management Accounting / Reporting
  • Prepare periodic reports on premium debt positions and collection performance for management review.
  • Analyze receivables trends, highlight collection risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Participate in ad-hoc system projects related to financial reporting and data maintenance.
  • Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and industry engagements with prior approval.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, with supervisory or team‑lead experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems.
  • Organized, proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
