Job description

Exceptional opportunity for a Credit Research Analyst to join a leading fund manager’s credit research team in Singapore. This is a non-publishing desk analyst role focused on investment grade and high yields credits. The position is open to candidates with good knowledge in fixed income instruments, credit research and rates fundamental.

Responsibilities
  • To analyse the creditworthiness of Investment Grade or High yields credits and to advise the investment team on investment and trading ideas

  • The Credit Analyst's primary responsibility is to provide written analysis, review and presentation of credit and rates fundamental requests for fund managers.

  • The candidate will also be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the issuers and the industries and the markets in which they operate.

  • The candidate must be able to analyse financial statements in details, highlighting the key information and making recommendations on their findings.

  • In addition, the candidate will be required to review a variety of other documents - fund prospectuses, offering documents, etc - and have a good understanding of the most common fund structures

  • The candidate will often have to work with various funds management activities, including dealings, reporting and work under pressure as the work is time critical and this will require candidates to "think on their feet"

Key Skills
  • Degree qualified in finance and economics

  • Financial statement analysis, knowledge of corporate finance and equity valuation techniques, financial modelling and forecasting, and general credit analysis

  • Good quantitative skills and good understanding of fundamental economics and financial credit markets

  • Knowledge and proficiency in basic coding, AI adoption, and/or RPA are preferred and advantageous
