Job Summary
HipVan is looking for a Creative Designer who is passionate about visual storytelling and excited to grow their craft in a fast‑paced, design‑led environment. In this role, you will support the development and execution of creative assets that bring HipVan’s brand to life across digital, print, and social platforms. Your work will contribute directly to marketing campaigns, brand engagement, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with our marketing team to develop, guide and enhance HipVan’s branding strategy
- Design beautiful and compelling ads, brand graphic assets, packaging, and print/OOH media
- Challenge conventional thought with new design and ideas on how to communicate the HipVan brand
- Ensure that HipVan’s visual identity is consistent on all customer touchpoints
- Work closely with cross‑functional team members (merchandising, branding, marketing, operations)
Visual Creation & Innovation
- Conceptualise and execute design solutions that align with brand identity and campaign goals
- Experiment with new design approaches within brand guidelines, iterating based on feedback to drive maximum engagement
- Maintain a strong sense of layout, colour theory, composition, and typography to deliver visually compelling assets
Creative Optimisation
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop A/B testing hypotheses and refine design strategies to improve key performance metrics
- Utilise analytical skills to assess and solve design challenges, delivering creative solutions that address user needs
Strategic Design & Business Alignment
- Leverage design expertise to solve business challenges and support organisational goals
- Ensure all design outputs reflect HipVan’s strategic objectives, fostering brand consistency and impact
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to incorporate business insights into creative work, driving measurable success
Proactive Work Style & Project Management
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality
- Take full ownership of design projects, driving them from concept to execution with autonomy, initiative, and creativity
- Communicate effectively with teams across merchandising, brand, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and collaboration
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a creative role, agency, in‑house team, or tech/start‑up environment
- A diverse portfolio showcasing expertise in visual creation, brand identity, and creative A/B testing
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator; After Effects or Premiere is a plus)
- Strong prioritisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Proven experience working independently while thriving in a collaborative environment
