Job Description

• Analyse freight / cargo orders (weight, volume, destination, priority) to build efficient load plans.
• Optimise load consolidation : combine multiple shipments where possible, choose best routing and mode to reduce cost and maximise utilisation.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (warehouse, dispatch, customer service, sales) and external carriers / trucking companies / freight forwarders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor load progress, troubleshoot issues (delays, capacity shortfalls, equipment availability) and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting : load metrics (utilisation, cost per ton / mile), exception logs, asset / trailer usage.
• Identify improvement opportunities : cost savings, better routing, asset utilisation, reduced empty miles, better capacity planning.
• Support day‑to‑day planning as well as longer term asset planning : aligning capacity with demand, driver availability, equipment pools.
