About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established organisation to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager. This role is pivotal in managing procurement and contract administration for estate, facilities, and maintenance-related works. The successful candidate will ensure robust governance, cost efficiency, and smooth execution of contracts in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including tender preparation, evaluation, award, and post-award administration
- Administer and manage contracts covering term maintenance, consultancy services, and project-based works
- Ensure adherence to public sector procurement policies, contractual obligations, and internal governance frameworks
- Monitor contract performance, including variations, claims, extensions of time, and cost control
- Liaise closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to address contractual and commercial matters
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks while providing sound advice on dispute avoidance
- Prepare reports, contract documentation, and summaries for management review and audit purposes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and contract management processes
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, ideally within property, facilities, or public-sector settings
- Strong understanding of contract conditions, tendering processes, and procurement best practices
- Experience handling term contracts and maintenance-related works will be highly advantageous
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Meticulous, organised, and capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
