A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a qualified engineer to conduct blast analyses and propose security plans that integrate technology solutions. Candidates should possess a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and have strong skills in Finite Element Modelling. A minimum of 3 years of experience in blast engineering is preferred. Qualifications

Basic Salary + AWS + VB
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm

Job Description:
  • Conduct blast analyses
  • Propose security plans integrating operations and technology solutions with protective designs and/or blast measures for structural engineering works, for the protection of buildings and infrastructure from explosion and dynamic effects (e.g. blast loading)
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board
  • 3 years of blast engineering experience is preferred, not a must
  • Understanding on the relevant local building codes and regulations on blast design
  • Knowledge of design and analysis of structures under dynamic loading, e.g. blast, shock and vibration, and Finite Element Modelling
  • Knowledge of blast engineering standards such as UFC 3-340-02, and progressive collapse analysis
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments
  • Effective written communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to remain positively motivated at times of significant pressure
  • Design and analysis of structures under dynamic loading
  • Experience in Finite Element Modelling
  • Able to produce technical drawings using a specialized software
