Position Overview
The Construction Methods Manager oversees the development, planning, execution, and optimization of construction methodology to ensure Energy Plant projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate teams, resources, and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient construction methodology and path of construction workflows for all EPU products
- Prepare and update construction procedures and processes
- Ensure construction plan compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Provide practical construction input during the design and planning phases
- Support development of technical packages and commercial estimates for new proposals
- Coordinate constructability program reviews and action follow-up for proposals and projects
- Champion construction interfaces across project stakeholders (project management, quality, safety, supply chain, engineering, commercial, subcontractors, and clients)
- Manage internal improvement initiatives, including accountability for reporting activity schedule, budgets, cost estimates, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Perform ongoing project construction scope audits and independent reviews to validate conformance to corporate practices and requirements
- Support site construction managers (including serving as back-up resource periodically as and if required)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 10-15 years of experience in construction management, with focus on large-scale energy projects (onshore or offshore)
- Strong knowledge of fabrication yard, shipyard, and greenfield site construction techniques, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in construction/project management software and scheduling tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) preferred
