Job description
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate site construction team activities and supervise field activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Assist in preparation of, review and provide construction inputs and technical evaluation of Subcontract Requisition / specification documentation.
  • Maintain construction schedule, order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the construction process.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings, inspection acceptance reports prepare toolbox meetings. Conduct accident investigation & report submission
  • Submit Daily Progress reports and monitor project schedule.
  • Perform day-to-day coordination, liaison, control, and supervision of all internal and external parties including subcontractors and material vendors
  • Responsible for any worker's dormitory, infringement, administrative, and transportation for the workers on 24-hour standby
  • Working on Sunday when required
  • Prepare schedules and supervise completion of final punch list.
  • Ensure job site safety, safe work practices and rectify job site hazards once identified.
  • Coordinate with Client and Operations team on preparation & execution of Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up activities for plant.
  • Site management for construction activities e.g. Civil & Structural, Steel work, erection, piping installation of equipment, E&I, etc.
  • Liaise with local authorities on permitting process and ensure all applicable inspections are completed during construction phase.
  • Prepare and report weekly, Monthly report & forecast project progress.
  • In charge of Claim management from Contractors.
  • Oversee demolition of existing plants and buildings if and when required.
Requirements
  • Above 3 years of Construction Management experience in Petrochemical/ Chemical plants.
  • Master Degree in Construction Engineering/ Construction Management or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional certification in Construction Safety Course for Project Manage (CSCPM) and WSQ safety trainings including AWSHPP/OPSOC, AWSHCS/CSOC, Work at Heights (WAH), SWCSO/SICMH, and BCSSC/SCWWSH.
  • Excellent knowledge of local Construction industry codes and regulations.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) arrangement for project personnel/contractors.
  • Proven record of maintaining positive relationship with internal/external stakeholders including Client, Operations team, Contractors, Suppliers, and other relevant parties.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Past/current participation in H2 Electrolyser plant projects is an added advantage.
  • Able to commence work at short notice.
