Job Title: L1 Cloud Network Engineer
Job Overview:
Supporting local government agency projects, operational support on Cloud Network environment. Required to work onsite, standby support. Flexible travelling to different site required. #AWS #Azure #PrivateCloud
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing L1 Cloud Networking support and maintenance of critical IT network infrastructure
- Maintaining the network architecture (in Cloud)
- Implementing and managing network security measures (Vulnerability Assessment, Firewall Review)
- Monitoring and optimizing Cloud network performance
- Maintaining documentation and producing reports
- Evaluating and implementing new network technologies (in Cloud)
- Coordinate and liaise with vendors/contractors for network support, implementation and troubleshooting
- Hands‑on experience handling various network and security devices such as Firewall (Checkpoint and Palo Alto), F5 Load Balancer, Cisco Routers (2800 series), Cisco catalyst switches (3700, 4500 series), Alcatel‑Lucent Omni Switch (6850, 9000 series), Aruba Clear Pass
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and network operating system
- Managing Cisco Security devices; ASA appliances 5555‑X and 5585‑X, Juniper Net screen (including virtual firewall contexts), Checkpoint Firewall
- Network consulting for new projects
- Implementation of new solutions and risk mitigation techniques
- Network security issue‑resolving approach
- Alignment with the security governance team
- Strong networking background and experience, with the ability to troubleshoot both access control and network‑related problems
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions; other operational difficulties and provide telephone support to internal users
Requirements:
- Min 2 years of proven experience as a Cloud Network Engineer or Cloud Network Administrator
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Managing Cisco Data & Security Devices; ASDM, CSM, and DCNM
- Managing Servers; AAA, SNMP, Syslog, NTP, DHCP, FTP, DNS, IPS, VPN, AAA, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, F5 Load balancer
- Managing Cisco Routers and Switches Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3750, 2960 & 3560 Series
- Managing Alcatel Switches Omni Switches 6850 & Omni Switch 9000
- Significant exposure to TACACS+, Radius, and Cisco Access Control System
- Understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies
- Working hours: Mon‑Fri, 9 am‑6 pm / 8 am‑5 pm / 1 pm‑10 pm, requiring standby support
