Job description

We are a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) general contractor and consultant operating in Singapore and the region, delivering end-to-end engineering solutions for power, industrial, infrastructure, and building projects. Our business spans concept design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning — with a strong focus on quality, safety, and innovation.

Lead or support civil and structural design for EPC projects including power plants (thermal, solar, wind), industrial plants, substations, and large infrastructure works.

Perform structural analysis and design: foundation design, load assessment, structural framing, and reinforcement detailing.

Develop and review 2D construction drawings, 3D models (e.g., BIM), and shop drawings in coordination with the design and construction teams.

Coordinate with procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure design feasibility, constructability, and cost‑efficiency.

Provide technical input during tender stage: prepare design proposals, scope definition, cost estimation, and risk assessment.

Liaise with statutory authorities for permit submissions, regulatory compliance, and design approvals.

Conduct site visits, construction supervision, and quality assurance checks to ensure that built works comply with design specifications and standards.

Troubleshoot design and construction issues on site, propose corrective measures, and manage design changes.

Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams (architects, M&E engineers, project managers, contractors) to harmonize structural design with overall project execution.

Ensure all works adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and quality standards.

Mentor junior engineers, review their work, and support professional development.

Stay up-to-date with advances in construction technology, materials, and techniques relevant to EPC execution.

Communicate regularly with China HQ regarding design standards, project updates, and technical clarifications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in structural/civil design or construction within EPC, contractor, or consultancy environment.

Experience on large‑scale industrial, power, or infrastructure EPC projects preferred.

Proficiency with structural analysis tools (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAFE), CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of Singapore building codes, structural standards, and construction practices.

Experience dealing with shop drawings, construction detailing, and site supervision.

Excellent coordination and communication skills; ability to work with design, construction, and procurement teams.

Professional certifications / qualifications are a plus: e.g., PEB registration, PE status, or relevant local / international structural registration.

Good problem‑solving mindset, able to resolve design‑construction interface issues.

Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English — able to communicate effectively with China HQ and local teams.
