Senior Chinese Educator (Full-Time)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Chinese Educator to join our team and lead the development of our Chinese language, literacy, and cultural arts curriculum across all age groups — from Playgroup, Nursery 1, Nursery 2, to Kindergarten.
This role is ideal for an educator who is creative, reflective, and committed to child-led learning, with a strong understanding of early years pedagogy and Mandarin language teaching.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning (Across All Levels: PG, N1, N2, K1, K2)
- Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Mandarin lessons aligned with the school’s Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based approach.
- Facilitate meaningful learning experiences through storytelling, songs, Chinese cultural arts, sensory play, and experiential activities.
- Support children’s language development through daily conversations, documentation, and intentional provocations.
- Build strong relationships with children, fostering confidence, curiosity, and cultural appreciation.
Curriculum Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and refinement of the Chinese language and cultural arts curriculum.
- Ensure curriculum progression from early exposure in PG/N1 to foundational literacy and cultural fluency by Kindergarten.
- Integrate Chinese arts, literature, festivals, and cultural heritage into hands‑on, creative projects.
- Work closely with the Programme Coordinator and Atelierista team to ensure cohesion across languages, arts, and inquiry cycles.
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
- Lead internal workshops and contribute to professional learning within the school.
- Participate in school-wide events, exhibitions, and parent engagement sessions.
- Collaborate with the English educators to ensure holistic, bilingual learning experiences.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Communicate clearly with families about children’s Mandarin learning progress.
- Support cultural celebrations, exhibitions, and community events that showcase children’s work.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (Mandarin track) recognised by ECDA (L2 qualification preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience teaching Mandarin in early years settings.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese literacy development, early childhood pedagogy, and creative curriculum design.
- Passion for Chinese cultural arts (e.g., calligraphy, traditional crafts, folktales) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and functional English.
- Warm, reflective, child-centered educator aligned with Reggio-inspired and inquiry-led values.
