We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Chinese Educator to join our team and lead the development of our Chinese language, literacy, and cultural arts curriculum across all age groups — from Playgroup, Nursery 1, Nursery 2, to Kindergarten.

This role is ideal for an educator who is creative, reflective, and committed to child-led learning, with a strong understanding of early years pedagogy and Mandarin language teaching.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning (Across All Levels: PG, N1, N2, K1, K2)
  • Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Mandarin lessons aligned with the school’s Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based approach.
  • Facilitate meaningful learning experiences through storytelling, songs, Chinese cultural arts, sensory play, and experiential activities.
  • Support children’s language development through daily conversations, documentation, and intentional provocations.
  • Build strong relationships with children, fostering confidence, curiosity, and cultural appreciation.
Curriculum Leadership
  • Lead the design, development, and refinement of the Chinese language and cultural arts curriculum.
  • Ensure curriculum progression from early exposure in PG/N1 to foundational literacy and cultural fluency by Kindergarten.
  • Integrate Chinese arts, literature, festivals, and cultural heritage into hands‑on, creative projects.
  • Work closely with the Programme Coordinator and Atelierista team to ensure cohesion across languages, arts, and inquiry cycles.
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
  • Lead internal workshops and contribute to professional learning within the school.
  • Participate in school-wide events, exhibitions, and parent engagement sessions.
  • Collaborate with the English educators to ensure holistic, bilingual learning experiences.
Parent & Community Engagement
  • Communicate clearly with families about children’s Mandarin learning progress.
  • Support cultural celebrations, exhibitions, and community events that showcase children’s work.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (Mandarin track) recognised by ECDA (L2 qualification preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience teaching Mandarin in early years settings.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese literacy development, early childhood pedagogy, and creative curriculum design.
  • Passion for Chinese cultural arts (e.g., calligraphy, traditional crafts, folktales) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and functional English.
  • Warm, reflective, child-centered educator aligned with Reggio-inspired and inquiry-led values.
