We are seeking an experienced Chief Technician (Engineering Services) to oversee daily operations and maintenance of building M&E systems. The role involves supervising technicians, coordinating contractors, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining a safe and efficient building environment.
Oversee daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all building M&E systems including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Life Safety Systems, and BMS.
Supervise, train, and manage a team of senior technicians and technicians.
Plan duty rosters and assign daily work orders; ensure timely and safe completion of tasks.
Enforce safe work practices, conduct toolbox meetings, and lead safety briefings.
Conduct inspections for tenancy works, testing & commissioning, electrical turn‑on testing, and handover/takeover inspections.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, local codes, and safety regulations.
Coordinate inspections, testing, and certifications (e.g., fire systems, lifts, generators).
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Perform troubleshooting, fault investigation, and recommend rectification works.
Supervise contractors for ITQ, CAPEX, and project works, including testing, commissioning, and defect rectification.
Facilitate tenant fitting‑out, reinstatement, and maintenance works in compliance with building regulations.
Participate as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Monitor quotations, inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC in Facility Technology (M&E Services), Facilities Management & Engineering, or equivalent.
5 to 10 years of relevant building M&E experience.
Strong technical knowledge of M&E building services.
Hands‑on experience in HVAC systems and BMS is required.
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
