Overview

We are seeking an experienced deputy Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy, governance, and performance management of a Singapore-listed construction group. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in a CFO or senior finance leadership role within an SGX-listed company and be familiar with the operational and financial complexities of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership & Strategy: Drive overall financial strategy, long-term planning, and capital allocation to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with SGX listing rules, MAS regulations, and all statutory reporting requirements. Oversee timely and accurate preparation of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements.
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision‑making at the Board and Executive levels.
  • Risk Management & Internal Controls: Strengthen internal controls, risk management practices, corporate governance, and audit processes (internal and external).
  • Capital Markets & Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors, analysts, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Support corporate finance activities such as fundraising, M&A, and strategic investments.
  • Operational Finance Oversight: Oversee project accounting, cost control, procurement governance, and financial performance of construction projects. Work closely with project teams to enhance financial discipline and profitability.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, uplift capability, financial systems, and processes across the organisation.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven track record as CFO or senior finance leader in an SGX-listed company.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Master’s degree, CPA, CA will be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of construction or related project-driven industries.
  • In‑depth knowledge of SGX/MAS regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic mindset with hands‑on operational finance capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
