Overview
  • Lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, efficient daily operations.
  • Oversee repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations on fire safety, building control, environmental codes, and life-safety systems.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, cost control, energy conservation, and utilities consumption.
  • Supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers; liaise with regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct regular staff training, performance reviews, and development to maintain high technical and service standards.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives (Planet 21), including energy savings, waste reduction, and water conservation.
  • Maintain effective communication with the General Manager, department heads, and external partners.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met for guests and staff.
  • Foster a positive, professional team culture aligned with company values.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of engineering/maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or large facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and building systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of local regulatory requirements (safety, environmental, building codes).
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and energy conservation.
