Overview
- Lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, efficient daily operations.
- Oversee repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations on fire safety, building control, environmental codes, and life-safety systems.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, cost control, energy conservation, and utilities consumption.
- Supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers; liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Conduct regular staff training, performance reviews, and development to maintain high technical and service standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives (Planet 21), including energy savings, waste reduction, and water conservation.
- Maintain effective communication with the General Manager, department heads, and external partners.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met for guests and staff.
- Foster a positive, professional team culture aligned with company values.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5–7 years of engineering/maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or large facilities.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and building systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of local regulatory requirements (safety, environmental, building codes).
