Suguru Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Chef (Japanese Cuisine) to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing authentic Japanese food, including sashimi, sushi, and other Japanese dishes, using a variety of ingredients such as seafood, beef, and pork.
The restaurant primarily serves takeaway customers. Dine-in service is provided only by special arrangement, and the Chef will be required to support such services when scheduled.
Prepare and present Japanese dishes including sashimi, sushi, and cooked Japanese cuisine
Handle and prepare raw ingredients including seafood, beef, and pork
Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency
Support takeaway operations as the primary mode of service
Assist in occasional dine-in service arrangements when required
Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with NEA regulations
Manage food storage, preparation, and daily kitchen operations
Relevant experience as a Chef specialising in Japanese cuisine
Knowledge of raw food handling and meat preparation
Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Ability to work independently and within a team
Willingness to support occasional dine-in services by arrangement
