Suguru Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Chef (Japanese Cuisine) to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing authentic Japanese food, including sashimi, sushi, and other Japanese dishes, using a variety of ingredients such as seafood, beef, and pork.

The restaurant primarily serves takeaway customers. Dine-in service is provided only by special arrangement, and the Chef will be required to support such services when scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present Japanese dishes including sashimi, sushi, and cooked Japanese cuisine

  • Handle and prepare raw ingredients including seafood, beef, and pork

  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency

  • Support takeaway operations as the primary mode of service

  • Assist in occasional dine-in service arrangements when required

  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with NEA regulations

  • Manage food storage, preparation, and daily kitchen operations

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as a Chef specialising in Japanese cuisine

  • Knowledge of raw food handling and meat preparation

  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Willingness to support occasional dine-in services by arrangement
