Job description
Key Areas of Responsibility

Daily Operations

  • Establish and set up process for all enquiries are addressed appropriately and in a positive manner, providing relevant information to promote theschool.
  • Analyseandreviewallschoolinformationanddevelopprocessesthatrecordsystemsareuptodate,inaccordance with regulatory compliance, easily accessible to management and inaccessible to others such as parents and visitors.
  • Statutory and organisational requirements are met and current including, but not limited to, Attendance Sheets, Children and Employee Particulars Files, GSII Subsidies Reports, Receipts and EnrolmentInformation.
  • Establish procedures including weekly conversion reports, monthly enrolment reports and salary lists, fees collection, debt management and school purchasing are maintained and provided in the requiredtimeframes.
  • All government subsidies, financial aids and other funding must be kept up to date and submitted on time for promptpayments.
  • Guide principals on maintaining and monitoring use of equipment with an up to date inventory of furniture, fittings, resources and equipment documented and filed at alltimes.
  • Design and review school environment in accordance to HQrequirements.
  • Report repairs and maintenance issues and monitor on follow upactions.
  • Establish processes for smooth operations of school and resolve any feedbacksreceived.
  • Plan and conduct Centre Monthly meetings and Monthly Cluster meetings with minutes documented and follow up actionsplanned.
Compliance
  • Establish and develop policies and procedures, implemented, evaluated and reviewed in conjunction with employees and management on a regularbasis.
  • Monitor policy development and plan for futurereviews.
  • Keep up to date with changes in regulations and industry trends and communicate this information to theteam.
  • Review Teachers and Parent Handbooks are reviewed in conjunction with managementregularly.
  • GuidePrincipalstoensureschoolcomplianceandcommitmenttorelevantECDAChildCareRegulationsandthe Quality Improvement and AccreditationSystem.
  • Guide Principals on Regulatory Standards and ensure that it is evident during all licensing inspections conducted byECDA.
Quality Programmes
  • Set direction for principals in achieving curriculum objectives aligned to Vision, Mission and Core Values of school.
  • Establish programs which reflects the school philosophy and employees are given adequate planning time on a weeklybasis.
  • Strengthen culture of learning among centres and teammembers.
  • Use observational tools to conduct classroom observations to review teaching practices with follow upactions.
  • Design observational processes and use observations to guideothers.
  • Establishanddevelopappropriatemethodsofbehaviourmanagementtoencouragepositivebehaviourinchildren.
  • Review the monthly peer Teaching and Learning sessions with proper documentationfiled.
  • Review quality programmes by evaluating suggestions and feedbacks from allstakeholders.
  • Share good practices with principals on how to keep up to date records of curriculum documents, teaching resources and booksinventories.
  • Guide principals with quality curriculum deliverance strategies and monitor individual staff Continuing Professional Development(CPD).
  • Involve parent support group in evaluating effectiveness of home learningsupport.
  • Review and enhance its collaboration with community partners and to guidecentres.
Staff Management
  • Establish effective work practices for all employees in theschool.
  • Employee personnel files are complete, current andconfidential.
  • Manage employee recruitment and placement according to MOM regulations and Company’spolicies.
  • Implement principal/staff induction and review Mentorship/Internship Programme inschool.
  • Ensure principals plan and maintain relevant teacher to child ratio at all times, in accordance to ECDAstandard.
  • Design processes to strengthen staff morale through effective leadershipguidance.
  • Review its approaches to meet staff needs annually and place staff engagement processes to motivate staff and develop staffcommitment.
  • Plan and review annually staff deployment for planned and unplanned absence of teachers, ensuring that classes and all programmes activities should beconducted.
  • Gather feedback from staff and principal to improve staff well-being in thecentres.
  • Review the effectiveness of processes for employee development through appraisals and trainingneeds.
  • Plan and analyse reports and other required documents by theHQ.
