The Tuition Centre Manager is responsible for the overall operations, academic quality, staff management, and business performance of the centre. This role ensures smooth daily operations, high teaching standards, strong parent relationships, and sustainable enrolment growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Centre Operations & Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of the tuition centre to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Manage class schedules, room allocation, and resource planning
- Ensure centre policies, SOPs, and MOE or relevant regulatory requirements are adhered to
- Handle administrative processes such as enrolment, withdrawals, invoices collection, and record-keeping via the Taidii system
- Monitor and control operating expenses within budget
- Academic & Programme Management
- Ensure the quality and consistency of teaching across all programmes
- Be well-versed with all the programme offerings in the tuition centre
- Able to take up teaching
- Handle academic-related feedback or concerns from parents and students
- Staff Management & Development
- Recruit and onboard teaching and administrative staff
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower planning
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and probation reviews
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work culture
- Address staff performance or conduct issues in a timely and fair manner
- Enrolment, Marketing & Growth
- Handle centre tours and all enquiries from prospects
- Execute marketing initiatives (e.g., open houses, promotions, partnerships)
- Track enrolment numbers, attendance, and conversion rates
- Reporting & Management Support
- Prepare regular reports on enrolment, revenue, attendance, and staff performance
- Attend monthly KPI meetings at head office
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Education, Business Management, or related fields
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in education, tuition centre operations, or service management
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling parents, staff, and students professionally with strong proficiency in required languages
- Proficient in administrative systems and basic financial tracking
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
