Overview

HealthServe is an IPC-registered charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged migrant workers in Singapore through affordable healthcare, casework assistance, mental health services, and community engagement. We work closely with partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure that migrant workers receive holistic care, dignity, and meaningful support throughout their recovery and reintegration journey.

Reporting

Head, Counselling and Social Services (for all administrative and case-related duties)

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake interviews to assess beneficiaries’ risks, needs, and presenting issues.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans, set measurable goals, and review progress regularly.
  • Provide guidance on next steps and arrange counselling or other interventions where necessary.
  • Highlight complex cases that require additional support or escalation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in the database.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., counsellors, MOM officers, doctors, partner NGOs/SSAs) and serve as a key worker for assigned cases.
  • Attend case conferences and prepare documentation for court proceedings when required.
  • Facilitate beneficiaries’ participation in well-being programmes, community activities, and volunteer-led events.
  • Engage stakeholders to raise awareness of issues faced by beneficiaries and advocate for their needs.
  • Participate in monthly Individual and Group Supervision sessions.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group work activities (training provided).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Case Worker.
  • Working knowledge of social theories and practices, with strong social perceptiveness and empathy.
  • Ability to build and sustain professional helping relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with colleagues and a diverse beneficiary population.
  • Resilience and sound situational assessment skills.
