Job summary

A mechanical engineering company in Singapore is seeking an engineer responsible for managing external vendor calibrations. This role requires a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include scheduling equipment tracking and ensuring timely closure of calibration activities.

• Adept at both independent work and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage the external vendors calibration.
• Plan and schedule the monthly equipment tracking.
• Ensure timely closure of calibration activities by vendors.
• Coordinate with users on scheduling and execution of calibrations.
• Report routine calibration issues to TS FLL.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage the external vendors calibration
• Plan and schedule the monthly equipment tracking (external calibration)
• Responsible to ensure timely closure of calibration activities and delivery by vendors
• Follow up with all external vendor calibration documentations
• Coordinate with users on the schedule and execution
• Report and escalation to TS FLL on routine calibration issues
• Coordinate with vendors for urgent work and quotation, SC request to TS admin
• Provide support to TS Engineers on external calibration matters
• Support Onsite Manager on other MRO activities

Requirements

• At least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar engineering role, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry.
• Strong technical knowledge with solid understanding of engineering principles, design, and problem-solving.
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.
