Key Responsibilities
Café Operations
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages and light snacks (no cooking, only use of microwave & oven).
- Uphold food hygiene and safety standards; maintain a clean and compliant work area.
- Wash and clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Manage café inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
Retail & Customer Service
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system for café and merchandise sales.
- Maintain attractive and organized merchandise displays.
- Deliver warm, professional customer service; assist with purchases and inquiries.
- Support basic stocktaking and inventory control for merchandise.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Keep the café and retail area clean, tidy, and welcoming.
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including dishwashing and surface sanitisation.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Barista.
- Comfortable handling both café and retail POS operations.
- Friendly, service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Must complete and pass the Basic Food Hygiene Course (BFHC) as per SFA regulations.
Please note that this is a 6-months contract role, renewable/ extendable.
