The Role
As the Business Management Manager, you will lead a small, high‑performing team to deliver business insights, strengthen governance, and enhance global reporting and master data quality.
You will collaborate closely with Japan headquarters and sales subsidiaries across Asia and beyond, acting as a strategic bridge between local execution and global direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Reporting & Analysis – Lead consolidation and reporting of sales, receivables, and inventory data across group companies. Use BI tools (e.g., Tableau) to visualize performance and highlight trends or risks.
- Master Data Management – Ensure the accuracy and consistency of key data (customers, vendors, products, chart of accounts) in Oracle ERP, drive process integrity and internal control.
- Business Planning & Budgeting – Coordinate annual budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis across divisions; prepare management reports and recommendations.
- Subsidiary Support & Governance – Support regional subsidiaries on financial controls, audit readiness, and process improvements.
- Leadership & Team Development – Lead, coach, and grow a small team; foster open communication and collaboration across functions.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Professional Qualification in Accountancy, such as CPA, ACCA, or Japanese CPA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP (EBS or Cloud), including master data management.
- Strong understanding of accounting and distribution modules (GL, AP, AR, Inventory, Order Management).
- Proven experience managing vendor master data and ERP system settings (budget rate, internal rate, GL period, etc.).
- 3+ years of people management experience with direct reports.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese to effectively communicate with stakeholders and our headquarters.
- Experience with an MNC setup or Big Four firms.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Project management experience (e.g., PMP certification).
- Industry expertise in manufacturing or logistics.
