Business Analyst (Airline Operations Systems)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Airline Operations Systems expertise to support Operations Control Center (OCC) initiatives within an airline environment. This role works closely with operational teams, IT, and external vendors to translate airline operational needs into system requirements, supporting safe, compliant, and efficient flight and crew operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Business Analyst and functional SME for Airline Operations Systems, particularly AIMS (flight operations and crewing).
- Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements related to OCC, flight operations, and crew management.
- Assess operational impact of system changes and enhancements to ensure alignment with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Support crew rostering and pairing analysis, ensuring compliance with FDTL, FRMS, rest regulations, and company policies.
- Provide operational analysis and support during Irregular Operations (IROPs), including crew recovery and re-rostering scenarios.
- Support system upgrades, configuration changes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with Flight Operations, OCC, Crew Management, IT teams, and system vendors.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, system documentation, and operational guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Airline Operations Control (OCC), Crew Management, or Flight Operations.
- Hands‑on experience with airline operations systems, preferably AIMS.
- Strong understanding of OCC workflows, crew scheduling, crew tracking, and disruption management.
- Good knowledge of aviation regulations, Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL), and fatigue risk management principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Willingness to work on‑site in an OCC environment and travel if required.
