A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced painter with a strong knowledge of painting materials and techniques. The ideal candidate should demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, mixing paints, painting according to specifications, and adhering to safety standards. This is a crucial role in ensuring quality in construction projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work after regular schedule.
• Must be able to work Sat/Sun/Public holiday if needed.
• Must be able to work any shift (Night/Day).

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/instructions and determine work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding.
• Prepare walls for painting by scraping and removing old paint.
• Mix paint to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions.
• Apply varnish and finish as required.
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
• Adhere to health and safety precautions.

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
