Roles & Responsibilities

• BIM Leadership: Organize and attend User / Client meetings acting as a BIM Lead-Manager for Design / Build Team as required. (Irrespective of Mech or Arch or ELE).
  • Act as BIM Lead for Design/Build Team across all disciplines (Architecture, MEP, Electrical).
  • Technically sound in planning the BIM base for the project with international standards, good practice and ease for coordination.
  • Ability to convey and coordinate complex BIM issues to MEP managers, Lead Engineers, Cost Manager, and Procurement Managers.
  • Maintain a high standard of deliverables with LOD500.
  • To take a leadership role in preparing BIP [BIM Implementation Plan] for the BIM team.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and BIM Implementation Plan (BIP).
  • Chair weekly BIM coordination meetings, resolving priority issues and reporting to Design Managers.
  • Communicate complex BIM issues effectively to stakeholders (MEP Managers, Lead Engineers, Cost & Procurement Managers).
• Team Development: Plan & conduct internal training to the team of BIM Coordinators and BIM Modelers.
  • Mentor BIM Coordinators and Modelers; conduct internal training sessions.
  • Recommend and organize BIM courses, seminars, and certifications for continuous team development.
• Knowledge Sharing: Organise regular inter team briefings and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Organize inter-team briefings and Lessons Learned sessions at each project stage.
  • Share end-user and operator feedback on BIM models and LODs (100–500).
• Resource Management: Plan & propose for each phase of the project from design to completion and ensure efficient use of BIM Team’s resources and enhance productivity.
• BIM for Design Support: Establish drawing coordinates, datum and base Revit with the team.
  • Provide a measurable matrix at Pre-Construction Stage to identify the model and design health to the Design Team, ensuring the design is acceptable prior to IFC Release.
  • Conduct Pre-Construction Model Health Checks and generate progress reports.
  • Provide guidance & solution to any design adjustments needed.
  • Conduct regular clash detection and generate a weekly report on clashes identified/resolved.
• BIM for Energy Efficiency & CFD Management:
  • Support energy simulations for efficiency targets.
  • Assist in creating internal and external CFD bases in Revit.
• BIM for Construction Support: Integrated Schedule Management of BIM with MS Project / Primavera P6
  • Support Build team with Assets tracking, Timeline establishment and monitoring with BIM & ACC.
  • Run contractors schedule through 4D analysis to ensure all opportunities and risks on schedule are considered. Linking 3D models to construction schedules to enabling visualising and optimising project schedules, resources, and logistics for efficient project management.
  • Shop drawing coordination with sub-con/vendor & other stakeholders.
  • Ensure site installation works are according to project plans / designs / time frame.
• BIM for Testing & Commissioning Support:
  • To lead and initiate the review and management of End-User requirements and Tagging systems.
  • Integrate the FAT and other reports to the BIM with COBIE parameters.
• BIM Management: Assist Handover submission arrangement with drafter team and project team (As built BIM Packages)
  • Plan and initiate the team working in Cloud, Design Collaboration and Model coordination and QA/QC.
  • AutoCAD & Revit management experience with Cloud Work-sharing (ACC).
  • Review and confirm the Construction handover is in accordance with the project’s BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
• Depending on project need, this position may be located On-Site or Off-Site and requires frequent travel to the project site.
• Any other duties assigned by Senior Manager.
